  • There is a bushfire at Plenty Gorge  that is not yet under control
  • This fire is travelling in a southerly direction towards greensborough.
  • The fire is expected to impact your within the next 30mins
  • Firefighters have been unable to stop the fire and it has now crossed Eastgate ave and Bouyan Cres and is moving towards Greensborough bypass.
If you are located in south of the Greensborough Bybass, it is strongly recommended that you evacuate now and seek shelter.

If you choose to stay, emergency services may not be able to help you. This warning is current to 29/11/2019 11:20 am. Evacuation after this time is considered life threatening. After 29/11/2019 11:20 am it may be too late to leave, shelter indoors when the fire arrives - protect yourself from the radiant heat.

Residents in Watsoina Nth and Greensborough should leave via Greensborough hwy and head in a Southerly direction. to the RMIT Bundoora Campus west plenty rd Bundoora

  • Close all exterior doors, windows and vents and turn off cooling systems.
  • Shelter in a room that has a door and or a window to the outside - It is critical to keep an eye on what is happening with the fire.

  • The following roads are closedMetro Ring Road and Greensborough bypass.
  • Check the VicRoads website (traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au/) for road closures. 
Bushfires can start spot fires and embers large distances ahead of the main fire.

 Bushfires can spread quickly and are extremely dangerous.
