What you should do
If you choose to stay, emergency
services may not be able to help you. This warning is current to 14/02/2020 02:40 pm. Evacuation after this time is considered life threatening. After 14/02/2020 02:40 pm it may be too late to leave, take shelter when the fire arrives - protect
yourself from the radiant heat.
- If you are travelling, do not enter the area, U-turn to safety.
- Slow down and turn on your headlights; smoke will make it
difficult to see.
If you stay seek shelter indoors:
- If you choose to stay, emergency services may not be able to help you.
- Close all exterior doors, windows and vents and turn off cooling
systems.
- Shelter in a room that has a door and or a window to the outside - It is
critical to keep an eye on what is happening with the fire.
