This Emergency Warning is being issued for landslides in the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road - Kalorama to Mount Evelyn area.


Act now - take actions immediately to protect your life and property.
Road closures:
- Mount Dandenong Tourist Road between Browns Road and Inverness Road


What you should do: 
  • If you are inside and a landslide occurs, find cover in the section of the building that is furthest away from the approaching landslide and take shelter under a table or bench.
  • If you are outside and a landslide occurs, move quickly away from the likely path, keeping clear of embankments, trees, power lines and poles.
  • Stay away from the landslide - the slope may experience additional failures for hours to days afterwards.
  • Do not re-enter damaged buildings until authorities advise it is safe to do so
Impacts in your area: 
- Emergency crews are operating in the area.
- Communities may become isolated due to blocked or damaged roads.
- Damage may have been caused to homes, buildings and infrastructure  by fallen earth, rocks, debris or trees.
