Watch and Act - Fire - Stay Indoors Moderate Springvale / Springvale South 12/09/2024
This Watch & Act message is for Springvale / Springvale South.

  • There is a fire at HJ Heinz Factory on Princes Highway, Dandenong South. A wind change is expected around 1830hrs, which will cause the Smoke to change directions towards Doveton and Endeavour Hills. 
  • This Watch and Act message replaces the Community Warning issued at 1400hrs.
Anyone located in Springvale, Springvale South and Noble Park should take shelter indoors immediately.
What you should do:

  • Close all exterior doors and windows. Close vents and ensure heating and cooling systems are turned off.  
  • If you are away from home, do not return. 
Protect your health:
  • Avoid the area.. 
  • Bring your pets indoors. 
  • If you are driving, close the windows in your vehicle. Turn off the air conditioning and close the vents.
