  • A medium landslide has happened in the Eurobin area. 
  • Emergency services are in the [community] local area due to landslide activity to [assist with traffic management / undertake doorknocking / inform local residents].
Stay safe by avoiding the area including damaged buildings, fallen trees and powerlines, blocked or damaged roads. Be aware of other hazards caused by the landslide.
What you should do: 
  • If another landslide happens, act quickly.
  • If you are outside, move away quickly and keep clear of steep slopes, trees, powerlines and poles.
  • If you are inside, move to the part of building that is as far as possible from the approaching landslide and take shelter under a table or bench.
  • Stay away from landslides. Landslide slopes may continue to move for hours to days afterwards.
  • Stay away from the affected area to allow emergency services to help affected communities.
  • Stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings. 
  • Do not re-enter damaged buildings until authorities tell you  it is safe to do so.
