This Warning is for Mount Dandynong Tourist Road in the Kalorama and Mount Evelyn Area
A small landslide has happened in the Mount Dandynong Tourist Road in the Kalorama and Mount Evelyn Area.
Emergency services are in the  local area due to landslide activity to assist with traffic management / undertake doorknocking / inform local residents.
Stay safe by avoiding the area including damaged buildings, fallen trees and powerlines, blocked or damaged roads. Be aware of other hazards caused by the landslide.
What you should do: 
  • If another landslide happens, act quickly.
  • If you are outside, move away quickly and keep clear of steep slopes, trees, powerlines and poles.
  • If you are inside, move to the part of building that is as far as possible from the approaching landslide and take shelter under a table or bench.
  • Stay away from landslides. Landslide slopes may continue to move for hours to days afterwards.
  • Stay away from the affected area to allow emergency services to help affected communities.
  • Stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings.
